Our Live Maine Lobsters are wild-caught from the cold, clean waters of Maine and carefully handled to ensure maximum freshness and quality. Each lobster is hand-selected and shipped alive, so you receive the true Maine lobster experience right at your door.
We offer lobsters by size and by count, making it easy to order exactly what you need—whether it’s a family dinner, special occasion, or holiday feast. Lobsters are packed with gel packs and insulation to maintain proper temperature during transit.
Upon arrival, lobsters should be alive and active. Keep refrigerated and cook as soon as possible for best flavor and texture. With sweet, tender meat and firm shells, our live Maine lobsters are ideal for boiling, steaming, or grilling.

Order Placement and Delivery
- Overnight Delivery: Enjoy next-day delivery on orders placed by 2 PM ET Monday-Friday.
- Scheduled Delivery: Choose your preferred delivery date at checkout for added convenience.
- Saturday Delivery: Available in select areas for an additional $20 fee. Contact our customer service for availability.
- Shipping Restrictions: We cannot ship to APO/FPO addresses, P.O. boxes, or outside the U.S.
Packaging and Handling
- Frozen Items: Packed in reusable boxes with frozen gel ice.
- Fresh Items: Packed in gel packs.
- Combined Orders: Packed with gel packs.
Shipping Exceptions and Order Verification
- Delays: Inclement weather or holidays may cause shipping delays. We will notify you of any issues.
- Order Verification: Upon receiving your package, inspect all items for damage and notify customer service immediately with photos.
Live Lobster Shipping
- Priority Overnight: Live lobsters are shipped via UPS Next Day Air service.
- Delivery Date Selection: Choose your preferred delivery date at checkout.
- Order Cut-off: Orders placed before 2 PM ET Monday-Friday ship the same day.
- Weekend Orders: Orders placed on weekends ship the following Monday.
- Future Delivery Dates: Orders with a future delivery date ship overnight before the selected date.
- Saturday Delivery Fee: An additional $20 fee applies for Saturday delivery.
- Tracking: You will receive a tracking number via email once your order is picked up.

Preparation Instructions
Live lobsters should be cooked as soon as possible after delivery for the best quality and flavor.
Storage: Upon arrival, remove lobsters from packaging and place them in the refrigerator. Keep them cool and moist (do not store in freshwater or airtight containers).
Before Cooking: Rinse lobsters briefly under cold water to remove any debris.
Cooking Methods:
Boiling: Bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil. Add lobsters headfirst, cover, and cook until shells turn bright red.
Steaming: Place lobsters on a rack over boiling water, cover, and steam until fully cooked.
Grilling: Split lobsters in half, brush with butter, and grill shell-side down until meat is opaque.
Serving: Let lobsters rest for a few minutes before cracking and serving. Enjoy with melted butter and lemon.
Cooking Times by Lobster Size
Boiling (rolling boil):
1.0 – 1.25 lb: 8–9 minutes
1.25 – 1.5 lb: 9–10 minutes
1.5 – 2.0 lb: 10–12 minutes
2.0 – 3.0 lb: 12–15 minutes
Start timing once the water returns to a full boil.
Steaming (covered pot):
1.0 – 1.25 lb: 10–12 minutes
1.25 – 1.5 lb: 12–14 minutes
1.5 – 2.0 lb: 14–16 minutes
2.0 – 3.0 lb: 16–18 minutes
Start timing once steam is strong and steady.
Lobsters are fully cooked when:
Shell turns bright red
Meat is opaque and firm
Internal temperature reaches 140°F (60°C)
Tip: Steaming preserves more flavor and reduces water absorption, but always avoid overcooking for best texture.
